Agriculture is the most important user of water sources in Guilan and mazandaran provinces. Regardful to area under tea cultivation and limitation of land, the most important solution to improve tea production is to increase yield in unit area, water and fertilizer application. Although annual rain in tea cultivation areas is suitable (1000 - 1200 mm) but improper distribution of rainfall specially in summer season (June- September), arranging needed water by use of irrigation system and proper productivity is the most important problem in stability of yield. At present out of 32000 ha of tea cultivations approximately 15% means 5000 ha having irrigation system. Although all farmers know about the importance of irrigation for improvement of yield and leaf quality. The question is arise that even though with farmers knowledge and their interest to use irrigation system why this system does not distributed and this is one of the reason for yield reduction. In this survey we have tried to find out execution and research part, to improve irrigation system and improve water use efficiency in different area of tea cultivation. The results of external researches were compared with political, economical, cultural and social condition in Iran. At the end of this study, main proposale were difined on the base of research priorities of tea nechanization.
