Comparative study of volatile components of 5 Species From Iran.

In performance of the project&rdquoDetermination of the essential oil components of five aromatic plants&rdquofive plants including: Jasminum humile, Lonicera mackii, Teucrium polium, Lonicera heterophyla, Teucrium melissoides were collected from natural habitates. The essential oils were analyzed by GC/MS. Twenty-five components were identified in the essential oil of Teucrium polium which the major component was â-caryophyllen. In the Teucrium melissoides, fifteen components were identified which â-pinene(16.4%) was the main constitute. The major components in Lonicera heterophyla were linalool(61.7%) and â-ocimene(27.7%). Eighteen components were identified in Jasminum humile. â-ocimene(27.7%) and p-cymene(13.2%) were the main components. The essential oil was absence in Lonicera mackii.
