Following the whole project of the essential oils analyses of the Iranian Aroma Plant species,we report the essential oils composition of the Six aroma plant species: O. vulgare L. was collected from National Botanical Garden of Iran(located in Tehran-Karaj Highway) in Aug. 2000.It,s dry flowers was steam-distilled for 45 min. in an all-glass apparatus.A light-yellow oil was produced at the yield of 0.3%(based on dry weight). O. majorana L. was collected from National Botanical Garden of Iran in Aug. 2000 and 100gr. it,s dry flowers were steam-distilled for 45 min. to produce a light-yellow oil at the yield of 0.3%. O. viride(Boiss) Halacsy was collected from Chalus-Marzan Abad road(Height:50-80m.) in July 2000.Dry flowers and leaves were steam distilled separately. The oils were produced at the yield of 0.4% and 0.2%,respectively. The leaves of Thymus fallax Fisch et C.A. Mey. were collected from Hamedan(the center of Hamedan province) in the West of Iran and hydrodistilled to produce a light-yellow oil at the yield of 2.5%(based on dry leaves). Lavandula latifolia Medik was collected from National Botanical Garden of Iran in Aug. 2000.The light-yellow colored Essential oils were produced by steam distillation of fresh and dry flowers of plant at the yields of 1.25 and 3.3% respectively. Geranium tuberosum L. was collected from Abali in April 2003 and 85 grams of it,s dry flowers were hydrodistilled for 3hrs.No significat amount of essential oil was produced so the oil was separated from aques phase by adding diethylether. All of the essential oils were injected to CGC-FID and GC/MS for qualitavely/quantitavely identifications. Thirty-six compounds were identified in the essential oil of O. vulgare which represent 99.9% of total oil among which β-caryophyllene(24.5%),germacrene-D(15.2%),trans-sabinene hydrate (9.0%), sabinene(6.0%),α-humulene(5.1%),valencene(4.3%) and (E)-β-ocimene(4.2%) are the major constituents, respectively. Twenty-four compounds were identified in the essential oil of O. majorana among which linalyl acetate(26.1%) and sabinene(12.0%) are the major constituents, respectively. Thirty-nine compounds were identified in the essential oils of dry flowers and leaves of O.viride among which thymol(24.2%,20.2%) and γ-terpinene(22.5%,12.9%) have the highest concentrations, respectively. Twenty-three compounds were identified among which thymol(65.9%) and γ-terpinene(10.8%) were the major constituents. Among the 41 compounds which were identified in fresh and dry flowers of Lavandula latifolia Medik,linalool(31.9,30.6%) ,1,8-cineole(18.8,20.9%) and borneol(10.1,8.9%) were the major constituents, respectively. In the oil of Geranium tuberosum L. eight compounds were identified among which germacrene B(45%) and α-humulene have the highest percentages.
