In order to study the effects of late planting date and seed density on agronomic traits and seed yield of two wheat Genotypes an experement was conducted in strip split plot layout based on Rondomized Complete Block Design with three replications in two years ( 2003/04 – 2004/05 ) at Agricultural Research Station of Miandoab. Two bread wheat Genotypes ( Zarrin , C-79-16 ) were studied in eight planting dates ( 7 october - 17 october - 27 october - 6 novamber – 16 novamber – 26 novamber - 6 desember – 15 desember ) and three seed densities ( 450 seed/m2 - 550 seed/m2 - 650 seed/m2 ). Vertical factor was eight planting dates and Horizental factor was seed density with two Genotypes in the form of split plot. During different growth stages the agronomic traits and seed yield were studied by direct measurement or sampling. Experimental results were analyzed in strip split plot design for two years and by means of regression analysis and providing response curves the predition models of seed yield for planting date were estimated. The results showed that, the effect of late planting were significant on seed yield, date of heading, date of maturity, number of stems, number of spikes, plant height, number of tillage, 1000 kernel weight and biomass. The results of regression analysis showed that late planting for each day of delay from 7october on with a density of 450 seed/m2, decreased the seed yield by 37 kg/ha in a day.
