Economic analysis of dairy farm in Tehran Khorasan and Esfahan Provinces

In order to investigate economical productivity and technical efficiency of industrial dairy farm in Tehran, Khorasan and Esfahan provinces this study was conducted. Number of animal , Milk yield, feed consumption and some other information was obtained from &rdquoCensus of Industrial dairy farm program 2004&rdquoof statistical center of Iran. The data was analyzed with SPSS 11.5 software package. Production function (PF) was estimated through the O.L.S. (Ordinary Least Square) design and cobb doglass model, and technical efficiency was calculated by C.O.L.S (Corrected Ordinary Least Square). The result showed that stockes with positive gross margin in greater operation group was more than in smaller operation groups and break even point of price milk was increase in greater stocks. Analysis of technical efficiency was showed that there is no significant different between provinces and specialist manager as well. Technical efficiency was higher in smaller operation (21 heads) than other groups, but there was no difference (P0.05) with middle operation (100,21 heads).
