The effect of ivermectin treatment to cattle on the dung beetles was assessed by the pitfall trapping in two pastures in Aichi prefecture. The cattle in the treatment pasture were treated with ivermectin, and those in another pasture remained untreated. Six species belonging to three genera of dung beetles were totally collected. Four species, Onthophagus lenzii, Aphodius sublimbatus, O. atripennis and A. rectus were captured in both pastures. The numbers of two dominant species, O. lenzii and A. sublimbatus, collected in the treatment pasture were less than those in the untreated pasture.
