Recently, occurrences of dirty seeds have been recorded in soybean as a result of improper harvesting of pods. A study was conducted to solve the problem by examine the soybean seeds of variety 'Sachiyutaka' after machine harvesting in different days of maturity stage and in different time of the day. The suitable stage and time of harvesting of soybean seed was in between 7th and 25th days of maturity stage and 10-16 o'clock respectively. In this stage the moisture content of soybean pods was 20% or less. Further, harvesting of pods after two hrs of disappearance of dew deposition on pod was more important to have quality seed production. Therefore, quality improvement of soybean seeds of machine harvesting can be obtained by harvesting pods at correct stage of maturity and time of harvesting.
