This study was conducted to evaluate the adaptability of rice germplasm from northeastern regions of China in the National Crop Experiment Station, Rural Development Administration (RDA) of the Republic of Korea. A total of 75 rice cultivar was collected from northeastern regions of China for 4 years from 1999 to 2002 and were characterized for agronomic traits at NCES, Suwon. The rice germplasm collection exhibited a wide diversity in most agronomic traits. For example, culm length and panicle number per hill varied from 56 cm to 114 cm, and 7 to 20, respectively.
