Unconventional energy sources and the possibilities of their use

The paper presents potential unconventional (alternative) energy sources and discusses the solutions enabling their use in Poland. These solutions have been analysed not only from the technological, but also economic and ecological perspectives. This detailed evaluation provided a basis for comparing various aspects of using unconvectional energy sources under the geographic and climate conditions of Poland. The concerns especially the possible uses of solar and geothermal energy, wind power, biomass and heat pumps
