The influence of differentiated plants and soil cultivation systems on species composition and number of weeds in scorzonera cultivation

The field experiment was conducted in years 2005-2006. The state of primary and secondary weed infestation of scorzonera plantation was estimated. In the experiments the following variants were compared: flat plants cultivation and on the ridges, and two presowing soil tillage (harrowing and rototilling). The primary and secondary weed infestation of scorzonera significantly increased after rototilling in comparison with harrowing. The number of weeds in primary weed infestation was greater in the objects with flat scorzonera cultivation, whilst the secondary weed infestation was higher on the experimental plots with plants cultivation on the ridges
