The bones quality of fattening chickens during the feeding with different sources of phosphorus

The aim of this examinations was the scientific establishing facts about influence of different phosphorus sources, meaning dicalcium phosphate and mono calcium phosphate, without or with addition of phytase enzyme (at decreased level of mineral sources of phosphorus), to the quality of fattening chicken bones. The examination was done on 440 chicken of Arbor Acres strain, divided into 4 groups considering the different sources of phosphorus: K-control group (di-calcium phosphate DPK 2%), O-I group (mono-calcium phosphate MKP 1.4%), 0-II (di-calcium phosphate DKP 1%+0.10% of phytase) and 0-III group (mono-calcium-phosphate MKP 0.7% + 0.10% phytase). The experiment lasted for 42 days. As criterion of phosphorus utilization in this study some variables of bone quality (content of ash, calcium and phosphorus in ash) are presented. The results of examination show: that the biggest content of femur ash is found at chickens of 0-III group (for 1.95% bigger than chickens of K-group) and the least percent of femur ash. 0-II group of chickens also had the bigger content of ash than the chickens of K and 0-I group. The content of calcium and phosphorus in ash was bigger at chickens whose diet had phytase (P is greater than 0.05). We can state that the chickens of 0-III and 0-II group, that gained per diet phytase (0.10%) at lower level of mineral sources of phosphorus reached better quality of bones. The differences of average values among examined groups were statistically significant (P is less than 0.05) and statistically highly significant (P is less than 0.01)
