Cercospora leaf spot (CLS), caused by Cercospora beticola, is one of the most important sugar bee fungal leaf diseases. In our agroecological conditions it can cause significant yield loss and decrease in technological quality of root. In Vojvodina (Serbia) CLS is being controlled with chemical treatments every year (1-4 treatments). During 2007, efficacy of fungicides and influence of chemical protection was accomplished with fungicides based on trifloxystrobin and cyproconazole (Sphere), as well as azoxystrobin and cyproconazole (Amistar Extra). The highest was noted at treatment with trifloxystrobin and cyproconazole (Sphere). Sugar content in all treatments was significantly higher than in the untreated control. The highest percent of sugar was found in treatments with prochloraz, tebuconazole and chlorotalonil (Zamir 400EW + Odeon 82.5WDG), azoxystrobin and cyproconazole (Amistar Extra), propiconazole and prochloraz (Bumper Super 490EC) and flutriafol and chlorotalonil (Cerpakt SC + Bravo 720SC).
