The analyses of penetrometric resistance, bulk density and soil structure showed that compaction in plow layer of a different cropping systems is greater after maize harvest compared with soil after wheat. There were no evidences of production technology influence in compaction state of underplow layer. Attained result suggests that agro-technical operations must be applied at favourable moisture level to prevent soil compaction and its negative effects on field crops production.
