The influence of 2 biostimulators on sowing qualities of Bordo-237 and Krasnij Shar beetroot seeds has been studied. The stimulators were the preparation Bajkal EhM1 (an effective microorganism consortium) - BE and biohumus Zhivaya zemlya (Live ground) - a product of manure and organic waste processing by a commercial population of earthworms. The seeds were soaked in the BE solution in 1: 1000 diluting or in the biohumus extract for 2 or for 24 hours. A positive effect was marked only when the seeds of Bordo-237 were treated by the BE preparation during 2 hours. Germination energy, germinability and seedling vigor increased in average by 50.0-86.2%, ascorbic acid content in roots and seedlings did by 105.0-107.9%. The seeds of the variety Krasnij shar did not expose any results of the BE influence. Ascorbic acid oxidase in the roots of Bordo-237 variety decreased and the one of Krasnij Shar increased; it grew up in the above ground parts of both varieties. The treatment by biohumus extract had a negative effect on the seed germination. The seeds had higher germinability at sowing them into soil than at growing them in Petri dishes. The best results were received at the seed treatment by BE and the following plant watering by the preparation solution once a week.
