[Morphological and biochemical foundation of biostimulant use for swines at the biogeochemical regions with iodine defficiency]
2009
Aukhatova, S.N.
Potassium iodide (PI) influence on biochemical and physiological properties of swine is studied with the aim of development of iodine deficiency prevention. Different types of its administration (by inhalation and by feeding) are tested combining with feed additives of probiotics, immunostimulates, zeolites and sapropel. Large White swines are tested at the territory of Bashkortostan Republic. The preparations of KI, propolis, the probiotic Lactobifid, sapropel, zeolites, T- and B-Aktivin are used. Ultrastructural features of the swine thyroid gland, iodine metabolism character, hormonal status changes, immune reaction features, lymphoid organs structure have been studied. Microbiocoenosis of swine respiratory tract and intestine are estimated and stock viability and swine weight gains is also done. It is found out that KI administration by inhalation is effective combining with a probiotic, zeolite (or sapropel) and immunostimulates (propolis or Aktivin) at a biogeochemical province with iodine deficiency and it contributes piglets viability and average daily weight gains. Effective doses of the preparations and a dosage scheme of their application are determined.
