Effect of green manure application on the physicochemical properties and phosphate status of leached chernozems in the Ob region

The study was carried out in the Novosibirsk Region in field small plot experiments for 3 years. The area of a plot was 1 sq. m. As green manure crops in different fields of crop rotation there were cultivated pea-oats mixture and phacelia. At the flowering phase they were grounded and applied to soil for digging 0.2-0.3 m deep. In the other fields of crop rotation wheat and oats were cultivated; there was also a complete fallow (CF) field. Soil samples were collected and analyzed in spring and autumn. Burying green manures did not influence an aqueous pH of soil solution, but greatly lessened the hydrolytic soil acidity. A total of absorbed bases have reduced in soil profile in all types of farrow, although the saturation degree was high. A maximum of calcium was observed in green manure farrows and is caused by absorption and moving it with the roots of green manures from lower horizons to top. The content of readily available phosphorus in the plowing horizon under green manure farrow was 1.5-2.0 times higher than under CF. the most content of labile phosphorus was observed in green manure farrows with a pea-oats mixture and in CF. The portion of readily available in the lowing layer increased. Maximum yield of spring wheat on average for 2 years was obtained with phacelia, an increment relative CF was 47%. The minimum yield was gained by continuous wheat growing
