Article is focused on changes in the Slovak Republic agrarian and food products foreign trade, which were generated by expansion of the European Union in 2004 (10 new member countries) and 2007 (admission of Bulgaria and Romania). We aimed our evaluations to dynamics and mutual relations of imports and exports of agrarian commodities with respect to their basic territorial structure, accenting trade with EU member countries and the third countries. We tried to point out on asymmetry in trade of agrarian products and food products. Special attention is paid to situation in meat and fat industry. Forecast of further development of European Union meat and oilseeds market till 2013 is also included.
