In the present monography scientific research of methods for creating wheat varieties over the ХХ century in the Former Soviet Union and Ukraine is summarized, the results of developments of authors on issues of wheat breeding, seed production and science in the course of the the latter half of the ХХ century are given. Methods for creating wheat varieties according to important characters and biological properties are shown, principles of the examination of varieties for the DUS-test and legal protectability thereof are substantiated. The book has significant interest for specialists in the mentioned fields, lecturers, students of biological and agronomic faculties of higher educational establishments and colleges and to other readers of agricultural sectors.

У пропонованій монографії узагальнено наукові дослідження методів створення сортів пшениці за ХХ століття в колишньому СРСР та Україні, подано результати власних розробок авторів із питань селекції, насінництва та сортознавства пшениці впродовж другої половини ХХ століття. Показані методи створення сортів пшениці за важливими изнаками та біологічними властивостями, обгрунтовані принципи експертизи сортів на ВОС -тест та її правова охороноздатність. Книга має значний інтерес для співробітників в галузі селекції, насінництва та сортознавства рослин, викладачів, студентів біологічних і агрономічних факультетів вищих і середніх закладів освіти та іншим читачам сільськогосподарської галузі.
