Main objective of this research was to study basic data and opinions of people who listened to programs run by the community radio station Vidhayu Choomphol Khon Rak Baan Kerd (Choomphol Home Town Lovers Radio) Choomphol Buri Sub-district, Choomphol Buri District, Surin Province. The sample consisted of 345 households. It was found that there were more females than males. Most of than were below 20 years of age and finished secondary school their average in income was below 1,000 baht/month. Most respondents listened to the radio during 06.00-07.00 p.m., spending about one hour/day, 1-2 days/week at home, and they never contacted the station while listening. The objective of the broadcasting was to give entertainment. The listeners opined that they did not mind whether the radio organizer was a male or female. Most of them preferred listening to the program run by one person throughout and news periods were most preferred, they rated the total radio program management as moderate and the Department of Public Relations' news broadcasting pro-gram as most appropriate, they rated the total essence or message contained in the program as moderately appropriate and Meet the People Program as having the most appropriate essence or message.
