This study aimed to study the participation of the community participation in Kantulee Peat land and to study the problems threads and the suggestions in order to conserve Kantulee peat land by using questionnaires and in deep interview. It was found that The Kantulee Peat land Conservation Group was run by committee which had no permanent group members. Villagers were freely participated in conservation activities every now and then. In order to let villagers to participate with the group activities, work plans were set up and divided into 6 steps: project initiative activities, action planning, land use and activities implementative, follow up and evaluation and involving with the outside activities were also essential. It is found that 80 percent of the villager in the community had been participated in activities through all 6 steps at the most level. Problems occurred in the area were not severe .The villagers had made suggestions to protect Kantulee peat land by setting clearly the peat land boundary, seriously care-taking by government authorities concerned, and encouraging the program of reforestation etc.
