Based on the undisputable proved withdrawal of the plane glaciers to North and the mountain glaciers withdrawal upward after the Glacial epoch, we think that the Brown mountain forest soils in the middle and south Euro-Asian mountains are degraded Mountain meadow soils, but the Podzols in the Russian Taiga are transformed Tundra and Forest-Tundra Clay-Podzolic Soils under the influence of the forest soil formation process in the Holocene. The Podzols therefore are formed over water- glacier depositions and are younger then the Brown Mountain Forest Soils in which the soil formation process was not interrupted during the Glacial Cambisols.
