Yielding properties and quality evaluation of different by the specific density seed fractions of spring cereal crops (barley (Hordeum vulgare L.), wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) and triticale (Triticosecale)) cultivated in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus were studied using the method the accelerated ageing. Research results showed that seeds with high and average specific density showed higher yielding properties. Yielding capacity of barley, wheat and triticale sowings formed from the seeds of the second fraction exceeded the control indices on 13,3%, 8,9% and 14,9%, respectively. Mixture of seeds of the second and the third fractions was also characterized by higher yields in comparison with the control one. The lowest resistance level to the stressful conditions of the accelerated ageing was shown by the seeds with the low specific density which showed field germination rate on 7-12% lower the standard one. Seeds of the last-mentioned fraction were characterized by higher content of photosynthetic pigments that could characterize them as less mature. The comparative analysis proved the application perspectiveness of the observed method and index of seedling weight for the reliable estimation of the sowing qualities of seeds and forecasting of their field germination rate and yielding capacity
