To Compare of grain yield and quality of promising rice lines selected from landraces of Iran, 13 lines, with 3 check varieties were evaluated during 2006- 2007. The genotypes were compared for grain yield, yield components and quality traits using a randomized complete block design with four replications. The results showed that, there were significant differences between genotypes for grain yield, number of panicle per square meter, 1000 kernel weight, length of panicle, plant height, number of tiller per hill, days to 50% heading and complete maturity and head rice recovery (P،ـ 0.05), but no significant difference in unfilled grain and number of grain per panicle (P0.05). Grain yield of line No. 104 was higher than check varieties (10.925 t/h) but not significant difference. All lines and varieties had good quality factors. Amylose content(Ac), of genotypes was between 20-22% but gelatinization temperature (Gt) and gel consistency (Gc) there were different. Finally, better lines content No. 2, 4, 97, 104 and 130 were selected for advanced experiments during following years.
