Yield comparision of salt-tolerant promising wheat lines under salinity area in farmers field conditions (0n- farm) in Fars province. Salt build up is one of the most serious problem in irrigating and rain fed lands and also ranges of dry and semidry regions. Due to limitation of suitable land and water for farming, the need of using of salinity soil and low- quality water has been increased. Therefore selection of salt tolerant promising wheat lines is very necessary in regard to increase yield for farming under salt conditions. The aim of this research is to compare the yield of five salt- tolerant promising wheat lines under uniform regional trials that have more yields compared to check in moderate zones. This research was carried out in three farms of Niriz, Arsarnjan and Sarvestan during 2006- 2007. Five salt- tolerant promising wheat lines included ER-S- 79-11, ER-S-79-15, ER-S-82-6, ER-S-82-19 and ER-S-81-14 with kavir variety as a check were examined in randomized complete block design with three replications each in a plot measured 2.4×10 square meter. Main rows were considered with 60 cm spacing that on each of them two subrows were planted. Fertilizers were added on the basis of soil test and the amount of seed was determined based on 500 seeds density per square meter and based on one thousand kernels weight, percentage of purity and vitality During growth season some of traits such as, date emergence, date of heading, date of maturity, percent of lodging, plant height, resistance of pests and diseases were recorded. The yield and component of yield such as, number of plant in square meter, number of ear in plant and number of kernel in ear and one thousand kernels weight were measured. The result of combined analysis of variance showed that the line ER-S-82-6 with more yield (3.59 ton/ha) and favourite height (75.33 cm) compared to other studied lines was suitable for the moderate zone of Fars province.
