Evaluation of new Iranian sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) O.P. varieties.

For selection new the most suitable and promising O.P. varieties this study was conducted. New 12 sunflower population with 5 standards (Armaviresky, Record, Zaria, Progress and Master) were evaluated in C.R.B.D. with 4 replication n 7 location (Karaj, Esfahan, Zarghan, Sary, Khoy, Gonbad, Ghom) at 2 years (2005-2007).. Simple and, combined analysis every years over location and C.A. over years and location were made averages comparison for some important traits also were made. Agronomic traits included phenomenological characters, plant height, head height from land, were recorded during growing season. Oil percentage, and 1000 seed weight and economical traits as seed yield and oil yield (Kg/ha) recorded after harvesting. Combined Analysis of Variance over location in first year (2005) results: The Ghom results were omitted, because the complete farm had been harvested and researcher had not any news. Although Results of Combined analysis for 6 location in first year (2005) showed that, Armaviresky Mo-82 (3742Kg/ha) was the best O.P. cultivar, and new pop. Arma. C- 19.(3609Kg/ha), after it but not significant different with Armaviresky Mo-82. Combined Analysis of Variance over locations in second year(2006) results: one of 17 treatment was omitted in second year, because it had branching form, and 16 treatments data were accompanied in analysis variance. The results showed that new pop. Arma. C.- 18.(3207Kg/ha) was better than all of them Combined Analysis of Variance over year and locations results: At the end of second year C.A. was made for 2 years and 6 locations. Results showed that Progress –shahrood -82 (3396Kg/ha), new pop. Arma. C.-18.(3207Kg/ha) and Re-C.19 were better than all of them.
