To acguire a stable cell line for studying FMD viruses is an important issue in biological science. at present, BA and BHK cell lines are being used for testing viruses and vaccine Production. hybird cell line was made by the technique of somatic cell fusion. at the present study, two types of FMD viruses (type O and A) were grown on the hybrid cell line in which we observed cytopatic effect with a good titre comparing with BA cell line, Hybrid cell line can be grown in monolayer but it could not be adapted to grow in suspension with two kinde of stoker and RPMI- 1640 media.
