Two new species of oribatids (Acari: Oribatida: Astegestidae, Lohmanniidae) and additional records of soil-inhabiting mites from Polillo Island, Philippines

Three species of Phytoseiidae (Gamasida) and 15 species of Oribatida belonging to 9 families, are added to the list of soil-inhabiting mites known from Polillo Island, Philippines. The oribatids include 2 new species, Meristacarus gapudi (Lohmanniidae) and Sulcoribula filipina (Astegestidae), which are described as new to science. The latter species is the second known in its genus worldwide.
