To study the effect of integrated nutrient management on quantitative and qualitative characters of sunflower
2008
Kaka, A.H.
The present study was carried out to examine the effect of integrated nutrient management on the growth and yield of sunflower. Treatments included T1=Control (untreated), T2=N alone (100 kg per ha), T3=N+ P(100+50 kg per ha), T4=N+ P+K (100+50+50 kg per ha), T5=NPK+Boron (100+50+50 kg per ha +B@2g/L water), T6=NPK+ Humic acid (HA): (100+50+50 kg + HA @ 10 kg per ha) and T7=PK (Basal) + N in the form of urea as foliar spray. Observations were recorded on various characters of economic importance such as: seed germination, plant height (cm), stem girth (cm), head diameter (cm), number of seeds per head, weight of seeds per head, seed index/1000 seed weight (g), seed yield per ha (kg), harvest index (%) and oil content (%). The results indicated that all the growth, seed yield characters and oil content were remarkably influenced by various integrated nutrient management approaches with the exception of seed germination, where non-significant influence was recorded.
