The reason for undertaking this investigation was the need of working out a method which would help in the treatment of the cornea in animals where corneal opacification occurred, as well as lens dislocation, wounds and posterior epithelium degeneration. After microsurgery on the anterior pole of the eyeball, loss of translucency of the cornea may occur
