Content of benzo(a)pyrene in soils affected by anthropogenic factors in the area of Wroclaw, Olawa and Olesnica districts [Poland]

The main objective of the study was to assess the influence of soil texture, humic substance and reaction on content of B(a)P in soils. The pollution sources of the analysed objects were: industrial factories, municipal dumping sites and heavy traffic road. The results showed there is not correlation between concentration of B(a)P and content of colloidal clay, clay particles, humic substance and reaction. The statistical analysed proved that the quantity of emission, the kind of source of pollution and distance from the source decided about the concentration of B(a)P in the analysed soils
