The comparison of abundance of some herbivores on an open-pollinated and hybrid cultivar of winter oilseed rape

The research was carried out at the Agricultural Experimental Station of Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences in Pawlowice, in Lower Silesia, Poland, in 2005-2006. The aim of the study was to determine abundance and seasonal dynamics of some herbivores on two cultivars of winter oilseed rape Lisek (open-pollinated) and Titan (hybrid). Both adults and larvae of pollen beetles were more numerous on hybrid cultivar Titan. The significant differences were noted when the herbivore was at the peak density
