The quality of the groundwater of the area of the potential influence of municipal waste dumps

The flow of groundwater through the dump site resulted in its heavy contamination. The values off all analysed indicators of pollution rose, showing, at the same time, lower variability in comparison with the inflow water. After the dump site had been closed, the values of some indicators were observed to drop which was mainly caused by the technical recultivation carried out in the area
