The objective of the investigations was to evaluate the effect of a change of long-term mineral-organic fertilization to an uniform one on the arylsulphatase activity (EC 1.3.6.1) taking part in the process of sulphur mineralization in soil. In 2002 after 54 years of application of differentiated mineral-organic fertilization the system was changed. Over two years of the investigations the activity of arylsulphatase ranged 0.119-0.140 mcM pNP/g x h and depended on the mineral-organic fertilization used for more than 50 years
