Effects of the elements supporting a grinding plant corn silage quality

It was proved that reduction in frequency of plant material chopping and application of additional elements could lead to the reduced energetic loads of the chopping unit. The shape o additional elements' surface and working clearance between these elements significantly change the dimension characteristic of components of maize plant parts. The plant material broken-up by additional tearing of fibrous parts and grinding of maize grains can be more susceptible to the change in its compaction under external pressure. More intense tearing of maize plant particles enhances better fermentation, which results in better quality of silage
