The aim of this work is molecular epidemiology study of Ukrainian isolates of Newcastle disease virus. The research was conducted using molecular biology and cladistics methods. Viral isolates were genotyped with molecular techniques by Aldous E. method. Analyzed viruses were divided into 3 genetic lineages - 1, 2 and 4, in accordance with the modern classification. The lineage 1 was presented by 3 strains (2 from chickens and 1 from turkey) allocated in 1967 and 2005-2006, the lineage 2 was represented by 8 isolates from chicken, while the lineage 4 was subdivided into 4b and 4d isolates from chicken.
