The main objectives in ornamental sunflower breeding are different from the objectives in development highly-productive oil and confectionary sunflower hybrids. Breeding of ornamental sunflower requires desirable plant architecture, colour of ray and disc flowers, duration of flowering, etc. The aim of this paper is to show main characteristics of five ornamental inbred lines and their crosses, as well as genetic variability and mode of inheritance for length of basal branches flowering, number of branches and length of branches.
