In industrial developed countries there is intention to replace liquid fuels of oil origine with proper alternative fuel since the appearance of IC engines. Unfortunately, mankind have not yet succeeded to find ideal fuel for IC engines. Application and testing of alternative fuels have shown that merely natural gas is adequate substitution for conventional liquid fuels. Some estimates show that there are about ten million natural gas vehicles in the world with continual growing tendency. Usage of natural gas as a fuel in motor vehicles is at the very beginning in Serbia. Some structural and exploitational properties of actual natural gas engine fuel systems as well as the results of their application on a particular agricultural tractor engine have been given in the paper.
