WebGIS is a new GIS discipline, emerged from accelerated development of information technology and telecommunications, that allows viewing spacial data through the Internet, Intranet, and Extranet. Using only the web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, etc.) the user can view and search various data through interactive maps of the simple and intuitive way. Also, the advantages of WebGIS is reflected in a single database which in addition to maps may contain the attribute data about the different characteristics related to the selected area (e.g. soil type, its chemical and physical properties, etc.). In this work we used the MapServer open source platform that enables us to publish spatial data and interactive map on the Internet, Intranet and Extranet. We selected the area of the municipality Krupanj for graphical and attributive view of raster and vector layers.
