Oleander is wide spread ornamental plant on the coast in Montenegro. Symptoms of knots appears on leaves and shoots noticed on oleander plants in Herceg Novi and Becici during 2005-2007. A number of non levan bacterial strains were isolated on nutrient sucrose agar (SNA), from the knots on oleander leaves and shoots. On the results of pathogenicity tests, cultural and biochemical characteristics as well as their comparison with literature data it was concluded that oleander knots from Montenegro is caused by Pseudomonas savastanoi pv. nerii.
