The goal of this work was to apply home peat of Gaj and to estimate its appropriateness as the substrate component in thyme nursery production. Peat has been enriched by adding manure at various capacity proportion (10-50%). Control versions were: pure peat (100%) and a commercial substrate Topfsubstrat. Examinations have shown that the best thyme nursery quality is obtained in case of production in the substrate containing peat of Gaj and manure at the proportion of 70%:30%. The obtained examination results show considerable affect of the home raw material - peat of Gaj application on the thyme nursery quality.
