The paper presents the results of activities conducted in genetic-meliorations in seed stands of a 100-year-old oak in the area of Forest Enterprise (Banja Luka - B and H). We have analyzed the works done in the previous period, conducted the first thinning with the aim of genetic melioration, collected data in the field, tested the quality of fructification and proposed the measures which will be used in the future. Starting from the bio-ecological characteristics of the analyzed species, complexity of oak stands, as well as their sensitivity and response to climate change, the implementation of genetic melioration in seed stands aims at improving the production of the seeds of this species through the targeted use of the genetic potential of seed stands.
