Effects of isoenergetic broiler diets with different origin and content of protein on carcasses and meat quality were investigated. Broilers of hybrid line Hybro were used for investigation. Broilers of experimental group 1 (diet with the highest protein content from soy and sunflower meal) had the highest final live weight comparing to control and other experimental groups. Results obtained by cutting of chicken carcasses on main parts showed that the lowest portion of breast and leg meat was in carcasses in experimental group 3 (diet with the lowest content of protein from oil crops). Also, experimental group 3 had lowest portion of meat in breast and leg. Differences in chicken diet formulation showed influence on nutritive and technological quality of breast and leg meat. Protein content in breast and leg meat in experimental group 3 (diet with the lowest content of protein) was lower than in control and experimental groups 1 and 2. According to parameters and criteria for meat quality determination the average technological quality of breast meat in experimental group 2 was normal, while breast meat from control and experimental groups 1 and 3 was on average PSE and DFD quality.
