In order to evaluate the effect of a peat substrate nutritional regime on quality parameters of tomato transplants, an experiment was conducted at the Farmakom Concern Šabac (Serbia), within a transplant production area of the gutter-connected plastic-covered greenhouse equipped with the latest microclimate control device. The research was undertaken during the winter and spring tomato growing cycles using the containerized transplant production system. The substrate mixtures used included pure peat supplemented with enriched zeolite and water-soluble NPK fertilizers. The strongest effect on the quality parameters of tomato transplants tested in this study was exhibited by enriched peat, whereas non-enriched peat substrate had the weakest effect.
