There were studied two automatic process control diagrams of drying milk in spray driers Nema-500. The moisture content of the dry product was estimated immediately and intermediately – by the temperature the hot air (a drying agent) leaving a drying tower. It is proved that controlling a drying plant comprising a calorifer for heating air to t 160-180 degrees C and a drying tower is advisable to implement according to the more control available parameter – the drying tower effluent air temperature. It should be maintained within 65-70 degrees C by the automatic control system, the moisture content of the final product being 3-3.2%. By means of a mathematic model of the object the regulator adjustment parameters were estimated and simulation models of drying milk process control system were investigated using the SCADA-systems. There is presented a functional diagram of the milk moisture content automatic control system with a correcting device and compensator of transport lag negative influence using the correcting device makes it possible to avoid overcontrolling and to reduce the length of transient processes1.3 times, and the compensator allows reducing twice the time of the transient process and overcontrolling. It is offered to use a three-level automatic process control system for drying milk and dairy foods.
