An experiment was conducted at Elsagay (37 km on the eastern bank of the River Nile) for three consecutive seasons to evaluate the efficacy of Ridomill Gold MZ 68 WG and Ivory M 72 WP for the control of early blight in potato caused by Alternaria spp. All tested rates of both fungicides significantly reduced disease incidence and severity compared to the untreated control. The lowest disease incidence and severity were consistently obtained with the two higher doses of both fungicides. The potato yield of the two higher doses of both fungicides was generally better than that of the other treatments
