The oldest information about content of soil organic carbon (SOC) in flysh region of east Slovakia can be received from Database of selected probes of Complex soil survey which was realized in 1965-1970 period. Actual data of SOC can be find in Database of Soil monitoring, which is realized from 1993 in 5 year period. Another source of actual SOC data is Database of Environmental Geofactors. All these data were used at evaluation of SOC changes on selected area of flysh region in period 1970-2002. Because of unsuitable geomorfological, climatic, physical and agrochemical conditions many localities of arable soils have content of SOC lower as limit value for arable soils (SOC less than 1% ). Received data during 30 years period indicate lowest SOC values on Cambisols, higher content of SOC on pasture in comparison to arable soils and decrease of SOC at changes of pasture on arable soils.
