anglais. Historical environments are cultural values which contact between past and the today. They have historical, artistic, documentary, functional, etc. values. They have an important role upon the identity of today's ordinary cities becoming similar structures. For these values and importance, they have been preserved and necessary attention and restoration done. Recently, it has been emphasized that for the conservation of the physical and socio-cultural structure, conservation plans are inadequate and protective administrative plans and models are necessary. For this reason, in this study the aim is the examining of the relationship between the conservation and landscape architecture during the conservation and renovation practices of the historical environment. Beypazarı Historical Settlement having a historical texture has been chosen for the study area. To determine the theoretical basis of the investigation, literature have been reviewed on the issues including historical environment, urban landscape design, conservation and renovation and Beypazarı, the survey and the SWOT(Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, Treatments) Analysis on the area done, as a result of data analysis and evaluation for Beypazarı sample the urban design principles and the local administration model were suggested. It is concluded that the local administration is responsible for the conservation and the renovation practices rather than the central administration, conservation should be considered so as to include buildings, gardens, streets, texture and whole city and these buildings have a determining role on urban identity.

turc. Tarihi çevreler, geçmiş ile bugün arasında bağlantı kuran kültür varlıklarıdır. Tarihsel, sanatsal, belgesel, işlevsel vb değerlere sahiplerdir. Günümüzün sıradanlaşan birbirine benzer yapılar topluluğu halini alan kentlerin kimliği üzerinde önemli bir rol oynamaktadır. Taşıdıkları bu değerler ve önem nedeniyle korunmaları, bakım ve onarımlarının yapılması gerekmektedir. Günümüzde fiziki ve sosyo-kültürel yapının korunmasında koruma planlarının yeterli olmadığı, korumaya yönelik yönetim planlarının, yönetim modellerinin gerekliliği üzerinde durulmaktadır. Bu nedenle araştırmada, Tarihi çevre koruma ve yenileme çalışmalarında, koruma ve peyzaj mimarlığı ilişkisinin sorgulanması amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma alanı olarak tarihi bir dokuya sahip olan Beypazarı Tarihi Yerleşimi seçilmiştir. Araştırmanın dayandığı kuramsal temelleri saptamak için tarihi çevre, kentsel peyzaj tasarımı, koruma ve yenileme, Beypazarı gibi konularda literatür taraması yapılmış, alana yönelik sörvey ve SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, Treatments) Analizi gerçekleştirilmiş, verilerin analizi ve değerlendirilmesi sonucunda Beypazarı örneğinde kentsel peyzaj tasarım ilkeleri ile yerel yönetim modeli önerilmiştir. Koruma ve yenileme çalışmalarında merkezi yönetimden çok yerel yönetimin sorumlu olduğu, korumanın yapı, bahçe, sokak, doku ve kent bütününü de kapsayacak şekilde ele alınması gerektiği, bu yapıların kent kimliği üzerinde belirleyici olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.
