anglais. The potato was introduced to Anatolia and the Black Sea Coast from the Caucasus in the early 19th century. Today, Turkey is the largest producer country in the Middle East. In 2005, potato growing areas in Turkey covered 154300 ha and 4.1 million tons of potato were produced in Turkey. Turkey exported 72000 tons potato to other country of the world in 2005. The purpose of this study is to examine developments in potato export from Turkey to EU Countries in recent years. Also in this study, the opportunities for increasing of Turkey's potato export have been analysed.

Günümüzde Türkiye, Ortadoğu'nun en büyük patates üreticisidir. 2005 yılında Türkiye'de 154300 hektar alanda 4.1 milyon ton patates üretilmiştir. Türkiye aynı yıl 72000 ton patates dışsatımı gerçekleştirmiştir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye'nin son yıllarda AB ülkelerine patates dışsatımındaki gelişmeleri incelemektir. Ayrıca çalışmada, Türkiye'nin patates dışsatımını artırabilmesi için olanaklar da analiz edilmiştir.
