anglais. In this study, it has been researched that the effect of surface smoothness on bonding strength for acacia (Robinia pseudoacacia Lipsky) wood which has been processed with turnover knives. For this purpose, test samples have been prepared from acacia wood and then processed by the 2-4 turnable knives and measured their surface smoothness according to the principles of TS 930 standarts. And then, test samples have been bonded with polyvinylacetate (PVAc) adhesive and tested under shear strength according to the principles of TS EN 205 standarts. As a result, while more smooth surfaces were getting from 4 turnovers rather than 2 turnovers, also it was determined that there was no significant difference between the tangential and radial sections in the terms of the roughness. The highest bonding strength has been obtained in the radial and 'radial + tangential' surfaces processed by 4 turnovers.

turc. Bu çalışmada jilet bıçaklarla işlenmiş, akasya odununda yüzey düzgünlüğünün yapışma direncine etkisi araştırılmıştır. Bu maksatla akasya (Robinia pseudoacacia Lipsky) odunundan hazırlanan deney numuneleri, 2 ve 4 kesicili jilet bıçaklarla işlendikten sonra yüzey düzgünlük ölçümleri TS 930 esaslarına göre yapılmıştır. Daha sonra polivinilasetat (PVAc) tutkalı ile yapıştırılan numuneler TS EN 205'e göre yapışma direnci deneyine tabi tutulmuştur. Sonuç olarak; 4 kesicili rendeleme 2 kesiciliye göre daha düzgün yüzeyler verirken, teğet ve radyal kesit olarak hazırlanmış numune yüzeyleri arasında pürüzlülük açısından fark olmadığı belirlenmiştir.
