anglais. The present analysis of ecological situation in Odesa oblast includes characterization of its atmospheric air, water resources, land resources and soils. An assessment is given to the entrails, the state of waste utilization and use, ecological security of the oblast, in particular to safety of defence activities, handling hazardous chemical subtances, radiological safety. In the section concerning the effect of environmental factors on population health information is given stating regional special features of disease occurrence among population in the profile of the administrative territory and an equivalent of 1000 individuals. The flora and fauna of the region are investigated. The nature-reserve fund (structure and dynamics), recreational routes and public resort areas, historical and cultural heritage and tourist routes are referred to the territories and objects with a special protection status. Ecological problems of an ecological network and biodiversity are considered. Significant attention is paid to characterization of the basi ecological problems of the region and to preserving the biocenosis of certain territories.

Дається оцінка надрам, стану утилізації та використання відходів, екологічній безпеці області, зокрема безпеці оборонної діяльності, поводженню з небезпечними хімічними речовинами, радіологічній безпеці. У розділі щодо впливу факторів довкілля на здоровя населення інформацію подано із зазначенням регіональних особливостей захворюваності населення в розрізі адміністративних територій та в розрахунку на 1000 осіб. Досліджено рослинний і тваринний світ. До території і обєктів з особливим статусом охорони віднесено природно-заповідний фонд (структура і динаміка), рекреаційні ресурси та курортні зони, історико-культурну спадщину та туристичні маршрути. Розглядаються екологічні проблеми екомережі та біорізноманіття. Значну увагу приділено характеристиці основних екологічних проблем регіону та збереженню біоценозу окремих територій.
